Serious tension has taken over the Agbarho community in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The tension is brewing following the killing of a youth leader, Chief Sylvester Eferhobo.

The incident occurred Sunday night, DAILY POST learnt.

It was gathered that the deceased was called out of his house by his assailants only to be killed.

“Immediately he came out, his killers who were fully armed, shot at him several times, but the bullets could not penetrate him.

“The assailants dragged him to a nearby bush where they axed him to death,” the source said.

Chief Efethobo was a strong member of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

He was recently conferred with a Chieftaincy title by HRM Ajuwe Samson Ogugu 1, the Osuivie of Agbarho Kingdom.

Residents linked his death to cult-related issues.

As of the time of filing this report, most shops within and outside the Agbarho market have been shut down for fear of being attacked by hoodlums.

The Police are yet to comment on the matter.
