Governor of Ekiti, Ayo Fayose in his usual antics of showing off his closeness to the people in the state has come under fire for indirectly supporting child labour.
Fayose negotiating for the bananas
Ayodele Fayose of the People's Democratic Party, PDP was captured on camera buying bananas from a child-hawker who was supposed to be in school. The governor freely purchased the commodity without seeing anything wrong in the plight of the child who needs education.
The picture rather than attract the conventional praise for Fayose has led to a barrage of attacks from social media users.
One netizen had this to say:
"Fayose buying banana from a boy whose parents were supposed to be arrested for child abuse!!! This guy is sure a misfit. Never shall a people make this error again!! NEVER!!!"
