Bank customers have been warned by the police to be extremely careful after a notorious armed-robber made shocking confession of tactics used in dispossessing bank customers of their money.
A suspected bank robber arrested by the Lagos State Police Command has made shocking revelation how they perfected plans and tactics to rob bank customers without being caught.
The suspect identified as Tunde Asewale made the confession after he was caught by the police.
The suspect who was arrested with one gun said: ‘‘Yes. I’m a robber. We used guns to rob bank customers.
"We usually attacked bank customers of Access Bank and GTBank. I have followed them to operation five times. I regret being a robber. I don’t have any job and I don’t have any helper that was why I joined armed robbery.
‘‘If government can forgive now and give me a job, I will never rob again. I will repent.
‘‘My other members have escaped but police said they are looking for them.
“The first operation they gave me N300, 000, second operation, N300, 000, the third was only N200, 000. I collected N200, 000 in the fourth and last operation before I was arrested. I used part of my money to buy Toyota Camry car. I bought it for N700, 000.”
