The victim identified as Sgt. Ifeanyi a.k.a Lion, was attached to the Eagle Net squad and reportedly kidnapped along Aroh Road in Ughelli metropolis, while returning from work.
The dead body of a Police Sergeant who was allegedly kidnapped on Thursday evening has been discovered.
The body was found at a forest in Ughelli North Local Government.
The victim identified as Sgt. Ifeanyi a.k.a Lion, was attached to the Eagle Net squad and reportedly kidnapped along Aroh Road in Ughelli metropolis, while returning from work.
Confirming the development on Saturday, the PPRO said: “manhunt for the assailants is on. The DPO has mandated a tactical team and we are on their trail.”
According to a senior security source from the Delta State Police Command, “his (the deceased) phone number was tracked to one bush at Evwreni, where he was found dead. He was shot on his neck, his hands were tied, his corpse was taken to the Central Hospital morgue, Friday night”.
