A 29-year-old s*x-crazed man has brutally r*ped a girl in the company of his two other friends in an uncompleted building against her wish.

A policeman who was later exposed as fake has been paraded by the Cross River State Police Command for allegedly r*ping a 23-year-old woman, identified simply as Etete.

The 29-year-old rapist identified as Idongesit Effiong was arrested by the police on January 17, 2016, in the Ekorinim area of Calabar, the state capital. The man committed the crime with two of his friends who are now at large.

Narrating how it happened, The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. John Eluu said: “On January 17, 2016, One Esther Etete, came to the command with a case of alleged rape.

“She complained that she was raped by three men at Ekorinim area of Calabar Municipality.

“Immediately after taking down her statement, policemen swung into action and were able to arrest Idongesit Effiong while two of his friends ran away.

“Effiong was arrested with fake police uniform.

“Further investigation shows that he has been using this fake police uniform to commit heinous crimes in the area.”

The police are now after the two others who escaped. However, Effiong has said he is not guilty. He said the allegations are untrue.

“I don’t even know this girl. I have not seen Etete before. This allegation of rape is baseless because I am not guilty of the crime,” he said.
