MD of Lekki Gardens Appears in Court Wearing Handcuffs Over the Lekki Building Collapse (Photos)

The embattled Managing Director of Lekki Gardens has appeared in court wearing handcuffs in connection with the collapsed Lekki building which killed several people.

 
 
The MD of Lekki Gardens, Richard Nyong, was pictured appearing in court today.
 
The man and his contractor, Odofin Taiwo, were arraigned at the Magistrate Court in Ebute Metta for their alleged roles in the collapsed Lekki building that killed atleast 35 people.
 
 
It will be recalled that the ill-fated building collapsed on Tuesday March 8th and saw about 35 people tragically losing their lives.
 
The contractor was arrested on Wednesday, March 9, as the death toll from the tragedy kept rising.
 
The Magistrate ordered that they should both be remanded in prison till April 12, 2016.
