Adamawa Couple Arrested For Battering 11-year-old Boy Left In Their Care After The Demise Of His Father

The suspects who reside in Wuro Jabbe, Yola South Local Government Area, frequently and willfully torture the little boy and as a result, leave grievous bodily injury on him.


A couple, Kamal Idris, 24, and Ambasiya, 19, were arrested by the Adamawa State police command on May 12, for allegedly brutalizing an 11-year-old, Fahad Abdulkarim (Orphan) placed under their custody as guardians, after the demise of his father.

A statement from the spokesperson of the command says the suspects who reside in Wuro Jabbe, Yola South Local Government Area, frequently and willfully torture the little boy and as a result, leave grievous bodily injury on him.

He said after the command received a report of this dastardly act by the couple, it immediately arrested the couple and rescued the innocent/tortured Child. Nguroje said the victim was rushed to the Hospital where he currently is on admission receiving treatment.

The police spokesperson added that the state Commissioner of Police CP Afolabi Babatola, frowned at the treatment meted on the little boy by the Guardians who happened to be  “uncle/aunty” to the victim and vowed to prosecute them so as to serve as a deterrent to others from doing likewise.
