Thousands of people have thronged to the streets to celebrate as two dogs get married in an elaborate ceremony in India.
The wedding was attended by a mammoth crowd
Over 5,000 people attended a wedding between two dogs in India. The ceremony was held according to traditional Hindu rituals, in the Pawara village in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
According to reports, the elaborate ceremony was attended by a mammoth crowd as the guests danced to the tunes dished out by a local DJ, while the 'groom' Shagun arrived in a special car decorated with flowers.
The 'bride' Shaguniya's owner Jung Bahadur even shed a few tears during the wedding ceremony.
The DailyStar India reveals that the owner of the dog shed joyful tears.
"Although she is my dog, she is like my daughter," the sobbing owner said on camera.
Indian fare was served at the wedding. After the ceremonies, the couple finally left together in a car.
