The naval officer sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment, but was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of three suspects in connection with the murder of a naval officer identified simply as Akingbohunmi in Idoani community of Ose Local Government Area of the state.
The hoodlums attacked Akingbohunmi on Monday, June 26, during an argument with a commercial motorcyclist. The naval officer sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment, but was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
Confirming the arrest of suspects linked to the attack, Ondo state's Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami said;
“Three of the suspects have been arrested and we are still on the trail of three others involved in the incident. The suspects will be transferred to the state headquarters soon.”
