Rufai Oseni Reacts To Tinubu’s Tax Palliatives On Nigerian Businesses

Reacting to the policies, Oseni praised Tinubu for helping Nigerian businesses with the tax palliatives.

Journalist and ARISE TV news anchor, Rufai Oseni has applauded President Bola Tinubu for signing executive orders into law to stop the multiple taxation policy in the country.

Recall that Tinubu had signed four Executive Orders into law to curb arbitrary taxation policy in the country.

Special Adviser, Special Duties, Communication and Strategy, to the President, Dele Alake, announced the policy directive on Thursday during an interactive session with State House Correspondents.

Some of the suspended taxes are Corporate Income tax, Import duties, Export duties, Excise duties, Rents, Capital Gains tax, Personal Income tax, Value Added tax, Stamp duties, Property tax, Licenses, Motor Parking fee, Motor Vehicle fee, Withholding tax, Land tax, Market License fee, Road tax, Business Premises, dividend tax, NHIS levy, Advert fee, Regulation fees, the new NYSC levy.

Reacting to the policies, Oseni praised Tinubu for helping Nigerian businesses with the tax palliatives.

However, he noted that former President Muhammadu Buhari had suspended most of the policies which Tinubu signed.

He wrote, “Kudos to the President on the tax palliatives for businesses. we must do more for the Nigerian people.

“President Buhari had suspended most of items signed in an executive order today ooo. Handicap! Whahala wahala!”
