Chilean footballer and Juventus midfielder, Arturo Erasmo Vidal reportedly wrecked his £230,000 Ferrari in an accident while allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The Champions League finalist insists that he was not responsible for the accident which ruined his car on Tuesday night, but the player has been held overnight ahead of a court hearing.
Vidal was not badly hurt in the accident while his wife Maria Teresa Matus also escaped serious injury. The director of Buin hospital said that the midfielder had a slight bruise on his neck and Maria's elbow was damaged.
Chile's fitness coach, Jorge Deseo visited the hospital to make a check on the star, who is set to appear in San Bernardo court on Wednesday at 2pm (10am local time), where he will likely be released on bail.
