The healthcare facilities were sealed for non-compliance with regulatory standards.
The government of Oyo State sealed five private health facilities in Ibadan, the state capital, on Thursday for malpractice and misdiagnosis.
This is part of the measures toward protecting the health and well-being of residents.
A statement by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Rotimi Babalola, said the healthcare facilities were sealed for non-compliance with regulatory standards.
He stated that the facilities were also found guilty of employing unqualified and unlicensed doctors, commonly referred to as quack doctors.
The statement added that, “The inspection revealed alarming evidence of malpractice, misdiagnosis and inappropriate treatments being administered to unsuspected patients''.
