Widow of Africa's First Professor of Psychiatry, Passes Away - Ogun State Govt.

The wife of Africa's first Professor of Psychiatry and former Director General of the World Health Organization, Adeoye Lambo, has passed away.

A statement by the Ogun State Government on Sunday, has revealed that Dinah Lambo, the wife of Africa’s first Professor of Psychiatry and former Director General of the World Health Organization, Adeoye Lambo, is dead, adding that the woman died on Saturday at the age of 93.
 
Mr. Lambo died over a decade ago and was buried in Abeokuta, his hometown.
 
While commiserating with the family, the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, also thanked God for the life of Mrs. Lambo whom he described as 'a virtuous, resourceful and committed ally of her late husband.'
 
The governor added that although she will be sorely missed, the late Mrs. Lambo lived a life worthy of emulation and should therefore be celebrated even in death.
