Students of the Niger Delta University, Ammassoma in Southern Ijaw area of the Bayelsa State were left shell-shocked after three students of the university were butchered by cultists.
About three persons were butchered by a rival cult group at the weekend at the Niger Delta University, Ammassoma in Southern Ijaw area of the Bayelsa State.
According to reports, the deceased students are suspected to be students of the Engineering and English Departments of the University.
The news left many students in shock and fear as many believe a reprisal attack might soon follow.
It has been revealed that one of the deceased students was identified as a 400 level student of Engineering, the other two were students of the English Department.
The deceased 400 level Engineering student was butchered with sharp machete and his left arm cut off. The other two who were also butchered were discovered outside the school in a community river behind the school.
The story was confirmed by the Spokesman of the State Police Command, Asimin Butswat.
