Tension and apprehension have taken over a Delta State community after gunmen stormed the area leaving behind irreparable damages.

Two persons were reportedly killed, with several others injured when gunmen invaded the sleeping town of Otolokpo in Ika North East local gvernment area of Delta state last Friday.
According to Leadership, among the dead, was a retired primary school headmaster, Sir David Nwadialo, and a young trader in his 30s, Mr. Dina Utomi, who sources in the village said were killed during the two-hour raid by six unidentified gun men.
It was gathered that the armed men also robbed Sir Nwadialo’s wife of her savings, after killing the husband, and then attacked the entire community.
Several injured persons are now receiving treatment in an undisclosed private hospital.
The injured were said to include some of the town vigilantes, who were overpowered, and those who were hit by stray bullets.
Meanwhile, the development has caused panic in the community with many calling for the state government and the state commissioner of police to swing into action and arrest the perpetrators of the act.
