A man has been caught on camera crunching a centipede right from a skewer in a crowed marketplace where people found the act rather disgusting.
The man was pictured holding four of the crunchy insects with he bought to munch on.
In a video showing his act, the man doesn't hold back as he sinks his teeth into the insect, pulling it carefully off the huge skewer, legs and all.
Several people in the background are seen grimacing as they watch the man chew on the huge insect.
It is believed that the footage was recorded on a mobile phone at a street market in China.
Centipedes are important in Chinese medicine and are used in the treatment of tuberculosis and certain cancers.
The gruesome video was uploaded to LiveLeak.com around 23 hours ago and has been viewed more than 35,200 times .
