Terrorists Kidnap Nigerian Air Force Officer, Demand N10 Million Ransom

The NAF officer was kidnapped along Birnin Gwari Road in Niger State when returning to his station to resume duty.

 
A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) officer, ACM Shuaibu Umar Bashir has been abducted by terrorists.
 
It was gathered that the NAF officer was kidnapped along Birnin Gwari Road in Niger State while returning to his station to resume duty.
 
Confirming the incident to SaharaReporters, Bashir’s relatives have disclosed that the terrorists have demanded N10 million as ransom and given the family a three-day deadline to make payment.
 
A family source told the platform that ACM Bashir was returning to his station to resume duty when the terrorists kidnaped him. Still, the NAF and military authorities have refused to engage the family on the matter.
 
This platform learned that the NAF officer was reportedly kidnapped on Sunday, but the NAF authorities are yet to make any official statement concerning the incident.
 
A family source disclosed that  “The NAF authorities and the military have refused to engage with his family. He was going back to his station to resume his duty. He had been mobilised to Niger State. But he was kidnapped along Birnin Gwari Road in Niger State.”
 
While another source also noted that “He was kidnapped on Sunday, and the military appears not to be acting enough to get him out.”
