Popular Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu has reacted to the arrest of Donald Trump, the former president of the United States of America.
She stated that Nigeria would become a better place if the rule of law is applied in the country.
Recall that Trump had surrendered himself to authorities in the US state of Georgia, where the former president faces criminal charges over his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
The former president was fingerprinted and had his mugshot taken when he surrendered at the Fulton County jail.
It was the fourth of such surrender this year for Trump, who has been indicted in three other criminal cases.
Trump decried the case as a “travesty of justice” as he departed Georgia.
Trump is the first former American president to be indicted.
Sharing Trump’s mugshot on Twitter, Yesufu wrote, “The day Rule of Law leaves sheets of papers and become part and parcel of our lives is the day Nigeria will be that country you are yearning for.”
