A man has brutally beat his girlfriend to death after taking a hard drug and hallucinating that the girlfriend wants to kill him.

A University of Washington student is accused of beating his girlfriend to death after abusing LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide) a psychedelic drug of the ergoline family, well known for its psychological effects, which can include altered thinking processes, closed- and open-eye visuals.
According to the police, Casey S. Henderson, 21 beat and strangled his girlfriend identified as Katy Straalsund, 22 and she died Tuesday at Harborview Medical Center, police said.
The assault occurred Sunday in an apartment in Seattle's University District, and witnesses reported hearing Henderson screaming "You wanna die?" and "I'm going to f--king kill you!"
Police could hear people arguing inside the apartment, and when the officers looked through the window they saw a man "violently assaulting the female victim," police said in a news release.
"Officers forced open the door and pulled the man off the victim," police said.
Officers performed CPR on the woman, and she was taken to the hospital but did not survive.
The man told police that he and his girlfriend took LSD — and he attacked her after becoming paranoid, thinking she was plotting against him, according to police reports obtained by KOMO News.
He admitted to punching his girlfriend in the face and head, then strangling her, police reported. The attack was so vicious that Henderson broke his own wrist, and afterwards, asked police several times if he'd killed his girlfriend, KIRO-TV reported.
Henderson was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday. He is being held at Kings County Correctional Facility in Seattle on $1 million bail on a domestic violence charge, jail records show.
