Former Aristocrat Records Pop/Dancehall singer, Burna Boy, has denied widely circulated reports some few years ago that he fled the UK because he killed someone and had been banned from entering or visiting the country.

Dancehall star, Damini Ogulu popularly called Burna Boy, has debunked reports that he stabbed someone in the United Kingdom and fled the country to evade standing trial or serving time.

Speaking in the latest episode of 'The Truth With Olisa', the Glo ambassador said "It is not really what these bloggers carried" in reference to the report and claims that he had also been banned from entering the country.

When asked why Burna Boy hasn't been to the United Kingdom, he responded "I'm not wanted there. I have not been wanted there".

Insisting that he "wasn't banned", the 'Loke' singer added "I'm not going to go into the whole story because obviously right now I am 23 years old, I am going to be 24 in July. I lived in the UK for a bunch of years before 2010 and until I was 20. Obviously my parents are not the richest in the world, and I am not the brightest kid in the world. I felt I had to do what I had to do at the time".

He also denied that he was not deported. "I came back by myself. In the UK, nobody deported me. I didn't try to go back again. I was booked to go back again for a show and everything, and I didn't get the visa. The reasons why I didn't get the visa was because I left when I wasn't supposed to leave".

Burna Boy will be however, be allowed to visit the UK from 2016 after his 'visa issues' are over.
