Suspected Armed Robbers Kill Nursing Mother In Osun

Confirming the death, the spokesperson of the Osun NSCDC Command, Adeleke Kehinde revealed that Adijat died on Thursday as a result of gunshot wounds she sustained.

 

The death of a nursing mother who was shot by yet to be identified robbers, has been confirmed by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC.

DAILY POST reports that the nursing mother, a Fulani woman identified as Adijat, was shot by the unknown robbers on Tuesday around 10 pm at Oke-Akute area of Iba town in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the State while taking her bath.

Confirming the death, the spokesperson of the Osun NSCDC Command, Adeleke Kehinde revealed that Adijat died on Thursday as a result of gunshot wounds she sustained.

Adeleke said, “The killers are yet-to-be identified but efforts are ongoing to apprehend those behind the incident with a view to bringing them to justice.”

It was further gathered that the late Adijat was nursing a three-month-old baby before she was shot.

Meanwhile, residents have appealed to security agencies to unravel Adijat’s killers.

Adebayo, one of the residents of the community, appealed for urgent efforts to apprehend the suspects behind her death.
