Speaker, Abbas Declares Seats Of Olubunmi-Ojo, Sununu Vacant

Mr Abbas declared the seats vacant after reading communications from the erstwhile lawmakers.

Hon Tajudeen Abbas, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has declared the seats of Tunji Olubunmi-Ojo and Tanko Sununu, vacant.

Tunji Olubunmi-Ojo was appointed as the Minister of Interior while Tanko Sununu was appointed as the Minister of State for Education by President Bola Tinubu.

Mr Abbas declared the seats vacant after reading communications from the erstwhile lawmakers. The duo in separate letters announced their resignations from the House.

Meanwhile, the House also swore in Salisu Majigiri and administered the oath of office to him.

It would be recalled that Majigiri was declared by the Supreme Court as the winner of the Mashi/Dutsi federal constituency of Katsina State after dismissing a case against him.
