Problem started when Egoji, on September 17, 2023, ran a ‘negative’ review on Erisco Tomato Paste.
Erisco Foods' President, Eric Umeofia said he is planning to sue Facebook user Chioma Egoji over negative reviews of its product.
He made the statement when he appeared on Arise Television this morning.
According to him, Egoji was purportedly sent to dent the image of Erisco Foods.
He confirmed that Egoji had written an apology to the Police regarding the review.
Umeofia, however, said if Egoji “Don’t apologize openly, we are suing N5 billion damages.
“I will sue her if she settles in the Nigeria Police; what about the damage she has made to me?” he stated.
Recall that controversy was stirred online when Egoji, on September 17, 2023, ran a ‘negative’ review on Erisco Tomato Paste.
She was arrested at the request of Eriscos Food over a malicious review of its product.
However, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) secured the release of Egoji.
