A popular lawyer known for his fearlessness and rigid approach to safeguarding human rights has passed on.
Dr. Tunji Braithwaite, one of Nigeria's foremost lawyers and activist who was also a former presidential candidate of the Nigeria Advance Party, NAP, died at the age of 82.
The elder statesman is reported to have given up the ghost on Monday morning at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos after a brief illness.
