A teacher has brutally raped a student inside the classroom while pretending to coach her in one of the subjects in the Senior Schools Certificate Examination and JAMB.
A 28-year-old teacher has been arrested by the police for allegedly raping an 18-year-old student in a school in Kubwa, Abuja. The incident took place inside the school classroom.
It was gathered that the teacher who organizes extra-mural lessons for students in the area, was said to have previously had carnal knowledge of the victim before the recent incident, Dailytrust reports.
According to reports, the teacher had carnal knowledge of the 18-year-old student during a coaching lesson as she prepared for the Senior Schools Certificate Examination and JAMB at a school in the area.
How he raped her
It was gathered that the teacher had requested for the victim’s measurement which he used to sew a school uniform for her. After that, he lured her to the classroom under the pretense that he wanted to put her through in one of the difficult subjects.
“As soon as she entered the classroom, the man started caressing her and later removed her clothes before he had carnal knowledge of her,” the source said.
The teacher was nabbed after the girl narrated the incident to her parents who later reported the matter to the police. The teacher was later arrested. He admitted to the crime, confessing that it was not the first time he had met with the victim.
Confirming the incident, the Kubwa Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Chief Superintendent Nuruddeen Sabo, said the matter would be transferred to the State CID.
