According to the police, the suspect along with four others now at large on separate occasions, kidnapped the people in the community and collected the sum of 8 million ransom.

A suspected kidnapper, Gaiya Mallam Usman has been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command.
A statement released by SP Suleiman Nguroje, spokesperson of the command, says the 25-year-old suspect, who hails from Tambo in Girei LGA, along with four others now at large on separate occasions, abducted the people in the community and collected the sum of N8million ransom.
Nguroje stated that the suspect added that he was given N470,000 only out of Eight Million they realized from the families of their victims, explaining that he had used his proceeds and bought clothes.
The police spokesperson added that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, has ordered the Commander Crack Squad to take over investigation as well as to as ensure the prosecution of suspect(s) after the completion of investigation.
