In what will come across as a bizarre case of punishment, a man has been given the disgrace of a lifetime for drinking water without having the permission to do that.
A man was stripped half-n*ked, tied to the outside of a moving train and brutally beaten because he drank someone's water without asking, it's claimed.
Shocking video footage shows the man tethered to a train window in just his underwear and a T-shirt while three young men are seen hitting him.
The victim reportedly remained bound to the carriage for more than 120 miles.
According to police reports, the victim, Sumit Kachi, boarded the train in Jabalpur, India, at 11pm on Friday, March 25.
One India reported that the row started when Sumit drank from a bottle of water belonging to one of the three men without asking permission.
Passengers and train staff reportedly watched as the man was tortured, too afraid to intervene.
The victim's ordeal only came to an end when the train arrived at its final destination.
Police are now searching for the three men who carried out the attack. So far no one has been arrested.
