Dele Momodu, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain has tackled a critic after he spoke on Tuesday about the controversy surrounding the Chicago State University (CSU) certificate of President Bola Tinubu.
It all started after a user on X (formerly known as Twitter) questioned Momodu for picking sides in the issue against Tinubu.
The critic wrote, “You never knew he had not cleared his mess, yet, you wrote such an epistle, it shows when you are no longer on good terms with someone, then you start hunting down such personality, but it’s understandable, one without any electoral value will find anything to hang on to stay relevant.”
Reacting, Momodu asked whether he was at fault for the actions of incompetent forgers who, he believed, were well compensated for their shoddy work.
He further asked if he was the one who claimed that someone graduated in 1970 from a school established in 1974.
Momodu wrote, “Now, is it my fault that some incompetent forgers, who I’m sure were well compensated, did such a shoddy job of it?
“Was I the one who wrote that someone graduated in 1970 from a school that was established in 1974? Was I the one who submitted a certificate that could easily have been picked up directly from CSU but chose to produce a different version from all other certificates of that period?
“Was I the one who boasted on live television that someone did not attend primary and secondary schools because he was a genius?
“Was I the one who supplied a fake social security number belonging to a female?… Sir, why do you seek to saddle me with the excruciating task of defending what I knew nothing about!!!”
