Reacting to the post, the doctor said physical changes during pregnancy vary in women.
Popular Nigerian medical doctor and influencer, Chinonso Egemba, aka Aproko Doctor, has taken to 'X' formerly Twitter to educate a man, Neo, who made an insensitive statement about pregnant women.
Neo had earlier said that women who turn ugly during pregnancy have always been ugly but hide behind makeup, filters and camera angles.
Reacting to the post, the doctor said physical changes during pregnancy vary in women.
“The whole process of pregnancy affects a woman's hormones drastically. These hormone changes can change things like skin tautness, skin colour, weight, and bloating, even her immune system is not left out,” he said.
"These hormones might be released during pregnancy many times, but they leave lasting marks on her body long after the pregnancy is done
"When you listen to many women talk about their experiences during pregnancy and how it affects their esteem and even image of themselves, you won't just rush to this silly conclusion
"Different women have different experiences during pregnancy and these changes occur in some to varying effects.
“You guys can do better to be honest, if you had used the energy you used to jump to this conclusion to make simple research, you probably would have been better equipped to help the women in your life.”
