The Majority leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Edison Ehie, has been suspended and removed over his alleged complicity in the arson attack on the assembly on Sunday night.

However, Governor Siminalayi Fubara stormed the Assembly Complex on Monday morning, while House members fled for safety as tear gas was fired outside the Complex.
Also, a protest is also ongoing outside the Complex as of the time of filing this report.
The development comes hours after a fire broke out at the Assembly Complex at 10 pm on Sunday.
