In a video, the man said a drug for asthmatic patients that he used to purchase for N8000 before, now goes for N52,500, while an inhaler that used to go for N1500 to N2000 now goes for N8500.
A Nigerian asthmatic patient has come online to lament about the hike in the price of drugs.
In a video he recorded in a pharmacy where he went to purchase his drug, the man said a drug for asthmatic patients that he used to purchase for N8000 before, now goes for N52,500, while an inhaler that used to go for N1500 to N2000 now goes for N8500.
He said the price went up after the company that used to produce it here in Nigeria moved out of the country.
He called on the Federal government to come to the aid of asthmatic patients as they can no longer afford their drugs.
