A retired female civil servant in Kwara State, whose identity is being withheld, passed away after being struck by a commercial motorcycle rider while driving against traffic.
The incident, The PUNCH reports, occurred over the weekend when the victim was crossing the newly constructed Al-Hikmah University Road at Adeta.

Speaking with The PUNCH correspondent on Tuesday, a son of the deceased, Abdulhafiz, who confirmed the incident, said their late mother was injured in her left thigh during the accident.
