In a shocking story shared on the Facebook page of
Yariya - a news publishing website, a young man identified as Habu who is a resident of Jekadafari in Gombe, last night reportedly threw himself into a well in a suicide attempt.
Speaking about the incident, residents of Jekadafari said Habu committed the sad act because the parents of the girl he loved refused to let him marry her.
However, others who claim to be his close friends revealed that the young man also had mental issues and may have been pushed to commit suicide without even knowing what he was doing.
