An easy going pastor of the Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement has been brutally shot dead on his way to a night vigil.

People were left in shock after unknown gunmen yesterday killed three persons, including a pastor, an elderly man and an aide to the caretaker committee chairman of Asari-Toru local government area of Rivers State, Sonoma Jackrich.

According to LeadershipNG, the elderly man and the pastor, who is of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement (LCCRM) were killed in Osuomini community of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area, Godknows Babadiba, who is an aide to Jackrich, was killed in Buguma, headquarters of Asari-Toru local government area.

It was gathered that the pastor was attacked and killed on his way to a night vigil, while the elderly man was killed in his house.

He said, “They killed two persons yesterday (Wednesday) in Osuomini community. One of the victims is The Lord’s Chosen pastor who was going for night vigil and then the other is an elderly man.

“We are wondering because that place is a hamlet and they do not have oil well. So what are they fighting for? I don’t also want to believe it is cult-related because the pastor can’t be a cultist and the elderly man can’t be a cultist. May be it could be an invasion.”

Confirming the incident, caretaker committee chairman of Asari-Toru local government area, Jackrich, described the victim as an easy-going fellow, pointing out that the victim was not a politician.
