The Barcelona Femini forward was received by the Nigerian leader and First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, at their home today, days after departing Abuja for Lagos to celebrate the Christmas and New Year festivities.
On Thursday, December 28, Asisat Oshoala, the Super Falcons striker, arrived at the Lagos residence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a courtesy visit.
The Barcelona Femini forward was received by the Nigerian leader and First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, at their home today, days after departing Abuja for Lagos to celebrate the Christmas and New Year festivities.
Recall that Asisat is currently the CAF Women’s Player of the Year. She received her sixth CAF Award recently, making her the footballer with the highest number of Player of the Year accolades in Africa.
Additionally, she was nominated for the Women’s Ballon d’Or for the second consecutive year, being recognized for her outstanding performance in the 2022 edition.
It could also be recalled that on August 7, 2023, the First Lady received members of the Nigerian female football team, the Super Falcons, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting was after the Super Falcons were knocked out of the FIFA Women’s World Cup by England.
