The competition between MTN and Glo is not about to end anytime soon as the latter has reportedly scooped up Wizkid in a mouth-watering endorsement deal days after it emerged the South-African based telecoms giant did not renew the Star Boy's deal.
Second National Carrier, Globacom, has reportedly dropped rappers Lynxxx and Naeto C from its list of brand ambassadors and signed Wizkid instead.
The news came on the heels of rivals MTN's announcement yesterday that it was not renewing its endorsement deal with Wizkid, Timaya, Sean Tizzle and D'Prince.
According to unconfirmed sources, Wizkid signed with the Mike Adenuga-owned telecoms giant about four weeks ago in a 2-year deal said to be worth N120 million.
It was learnt that some ambassadors of the indigenous telecoms brand might still be dropped to make room for more celebrities such as comedians Bovi and AY; and actors Odunlade Adekola and OC Ukeje.
If the speculations are true, they will be joining the likes of M.I Abaga, D'banj, PSquare, Wande Coal, Waje, Omawunmi, Funke Akindele and Bez, who are already Glo ambassadors.
