A woman has been publicly shamed and abused after her husband stripped her n*ked in public after a disagreement.
The man who is in the habit of stripping his wife and assaulting her outside their home was dragged to Harare Civil Court, Zimbabwe this week.
According to WeekendPost, Tendai Kamonera applied for a protection order against her husband Nomore Tizanadzo before Harare magistrate Barbra Mateko.
“My husband does not respect me, he assaults me in front of the children. Our children have lost respect for me and now call me kamhamha,” said Kamonera.
“…even people from our neighbourhood have lost respect for me because I am often stripped n*ked before being assaulted outside the house.”
The woman begged the court to stop her husband from forcing her into unprotected sex. “He engages into extra-marital affairs and does not even care whether I know about the relationships. Recently, he brought a child that he has with another woman and is forcing me to cater for that baby saying there is nothing special about me since I was also raised by another family,” added Kamonera.
“I have told him that I am no longer comfortable with having unprotected s*x since he is promiscuous but he forces himself on me.”
Tizanadzo admitted to the allegations and said they had engaged relatives to resolve the matter.
“It is true that I did some of the things she said but we have since engaged our relatives and solved the matter. I even asked for her forgiveness in their presence.”
Mateko granted the protection order and warned Tizanadzo to live peacefully with his wife.
