Its currently a quiet tussle between the APC and its opposition, PDP in the Senate as Senate President, Bukola Saraki's trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal point towards an imminent exit.

There is a close balance in the senate as regards the number of PDP senators as well as APC senators paving way for the oppostion to select a Senate President, according to constitutional demands.
