AFCON 2023: Nigeria’s Super Eagles Fail To Beat Equatorial Guinea

Ivan Salvador gave Equatorial Guinea a 1-0 lead in the 36th minute. However, Victor Osimhen restored parity just two minutes later with a fine header.

On Sunday, January 14, Nigeria’s Super Eagles failed to beat Equatorial Guinea during both teams’ 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tie in Cote d’Ivoire.

The match ended 1-1 at the Olympic Stadium.

Ivan Salvador gave Equatorial Guinea a 1-0 lead in the 36th minute.

However, Victor Osimhen restored parity just two minutes later with a fine header.

Both teams failed to score in the second half, as they ended up taking one point each.

Nigeria’s next game is against the host nation on Thursday.
