Kennis Music CEO, Kenny 'Keke' Ogungbe, has said that a former artiste signed to the record label, Capital FEMI, did not fulfil his contract despite granting interviews to the contrary.
Contrary to speculation that R&B singer, Capital FEMI's exit from foremost music label Kennis Music was on mutual grounds, it appears his departure may not have been a mutually agreed decision.
The CEO of Kennis Music, Kenny 'Keke' Ogungbe, who was reacing to a statement by his former artiste that his contract ended and it was mutually agreed not to extend it, said it was all a tissue of lies.
He spoke to Saturday Beats recently.
He said: "A 40 or 41-year-old Capital Femi aka Femi Adeyinka, who sings R & B type of music in Nigeria has the right to say whatever he wants to say about his contractual agreement with Kennis Music on the pages of newspapers and online".
Baba Keke, as he is fondly called, however, said "It's worthy to note that he penned to a six-year/four full albums contract in December 2009 and only one album dropped up till date".
