A husband has gone mad and brutally stabbed to death a man he suspected was having s*x with the wife at his back.
A 25-year- old farmer, Mohammed Tanko has been arraigned before an Ilorin Magistrate court for culpable homicide. Tanko of Gorobani village, kaiama allegedly stabbed to death one Boka who he suspected to be having a love affair with his wife.
According to the police prosecutor, Abideen Oderinde told the court that on February 25, 2016, the accused assaulted Boka because he suspected that he was having sexual intercourse with his wife, Daya.
“As a result, fight ensued between them and Tanko stabbed Boka with a knife and he died instantly.”
“Investigation conducted revealed that the accused callously stabbed Boka to death based on information which he heard that the deceased had sexual intercourse with his wife.”
The prosecutor said the accused is facing one- count charge of culpable homicide.
He said that the offence contravened section 221 of penal code law.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against him.
In her ruling, Magistrate M.F Adebola ordered that the accused be remanded at the federal prison, Okekura, IIorin and adjourned the case to April 14,2016 for further mention.
