Yobe: Buni Declares Wednesday Work Free Day To Honour Late Former Gov Bukar Ibrahim

The three-day prayers for the late former governor, who died and was buried in the Holy Land, will be offered at the Government House Mosque, Damaturu.

Gov Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has declared Wednesday 7th February 2024, as a work-free day to observe three-day prayers for the deceased former governor of the state, Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim.

Buni, who announced this on Tuesday in a statement by his spokesman, Mamman Mohammed, said the day should be used to offer prayers for the former governor who died in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

He urged the people of the state to use the period to pray for the repose of the soul of the late governor.

The Yobe State Government has officially taken over the funeral and condolence rites, to honour the late governor.

Buni, alongside government officials and the family of the late governor, has been receiving condolences from sympathisers from within and outside the state at the Government House, Damaturu.
