A woman who had a serious misfortune after she fell headlong into a well, has been lucky to have firefighters on hand to rescue her.

As this footage starts it is difficult to make out the tiny body of the woman who has become trapped down the 50ft well. But as the woman's hands come into focus it becomes clear she is in a desperate situation.
She fell into the deep well in the city of Kaifeng in central China and due to the cold water passed out.
Luckily someone had spotted her falling in and called the emergency services.
Firefighters raced to the narrow hole and managed to wrap a rope around her unconscious body.
As the footage shows she starts to come around during the rescue attempt and is then taken to hospital.
