Kanu Nwankwo, the Nigerian football legend, has sent out a message to wish Nigeria’s Super Eagles victory against Ivory Coast in Sunday’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, final.
Both teams made it to the AFCON final after beating South Africa and DR Congo, respectively in the AFCON semi-final encounter a few days ago.
The Super Eagles had defeated Ivory Coast 1-0 during the Group A clash last month.
However, in a tweet on his official X account ahead of the AFCON final, Kanu also urged Jose Peseiro’s men to beat the Elephants.
“KAN U believe it? Incredible atmosphere here at the AFCON a few hours to the finals,” Kanu wrote.
“Wishing Nigeria victory against the host country Ivory Coast.
“Let’s get this Super Eagles.”
