A man with a deep grudge against his wife has carried out a most heinous crime while trying to get back at her.
Manu Umar and his ill-fated wife, Fatima Ibrahim
A staff of the ICT Department, Federal University Dutsin-ma, Katsina, Manu Umar has allegedly confessed to killing his wife.
According to TVC, Manu's wife Fatima Ibrahim, 32, was a teacher at Zubairu Pilot Primary school, Dutsin-ma. She was discovered dead in bed on the 1st of April, 2016, with blood trickling from her mouth, and bruises on one side of her face.
Trouble reportedly started when Fatima’s father, Alhaji Ibrahim Habibu, died and she inherited his wealth. Until his death, Ibrahim was a regional manager of a bank in Sokoto. Manu allegedly went all-out to get Fatima’s share of the inheritance.
While explaining why and how he killed Fatima, Manu said their problem started when he brought back his first wife that he had initially divorced. He said that Fatima told him that she will not allow any s*xual intercourse to occur between them until both him and the wife get tested for STD since according to Fatima, his first wife is being suspected to have been sleeping around after he divorced her, an allegation he rejected.
After she refused some attempt to have s*x with him, Manu decided to force himself on her, which led to her death. He also narrated how he repeatedly banged her head on the floor until she couldn’t struggled anymore.
He then satisfied himself. “By then, she was already dead” he said. He then cleaned her-up and changed her clothes.
Confirming the incident, the State Commissioner of Police, Abdullahi Usman, said investigation has opened up on the matter. Fatima bagged a Bachelors Degree in Biology from Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto.
