Rescue Abducted Students in Kaduna Without Paying Ransom – Tinubu Orders Security Personnel

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris made the directive known while briefing State House Correspondents.

 
President Bola Tinubu has issued a stern directive to security agencies not to pay any dime to the abductors in the course of rescuing over 200 pupils and teachers abducted by bandits.
 
The order was given on Wednesday at the Federal Executive Council meeting.
 
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris made the directive known while briefing State House Correspondents.
 
According to Idris, the President has issued a directive to the security personnel to go after the abductors and ensure they rescue the captives and reunite them with their families without paying a dime as ransom.
 
Recall that over 280 pupils and teachers of Government Secondary School and LEA primary school at Kuriga, Kaduna State were abducted by bandits recently, triggering national outrage.
 
The bandits reportedly invaded the Kuriga area of the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, shooting at their victims before taking away at least 280 comprising of students and teachers away.
