Solomon Dalung

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, on Wednesday physically attacked a journalist in Abuja according to  The Eagle.

Dalung attacked Andrew Abah at the venue of the Extraordinary Congress of the Nigeria Football Federation at Chinda Hotel in Abuja.

Journalists had approached the Minister for his comment on the crisis rocking the NFF. But rather than answering the question, Dalung accused the newsmen of collecting bribes from the two parties to the crisis – Amaju Pinnick and Chris Giwa.

Abah then asked the Minister to mention the names of the journalists involved. But rather than answer the question, he physically pushed the reporter away.

Pinnick, who convened the NFF extraordinary meeting, had to intervene and appealed for calm.

Meanwhile, the minister said it was a 2014 judgement of the court that the Giwa group gave to him.
