A heartless man has descended on his grandson by setting him on fire and watching him burn alive for daring to take money that does not belong to him.

A 53-year-old man was arrested wednesday night after allegedly setting his 8-year-old grandson on fire in Kalimatula village in Machakos County, Citizen TV reports.
According to the area Assistant chief Joseph Sila, the man reportedly poured paraffin on the boy and set him on fire after he allegedly stole one hundred shillings from him.
The boy sustained serious burns injury and has been left hospitalized. Doctors say he will take so long to heal for him to recover again.
The father has been arrested by the police and a case against him will be opened. The incident has left many residents of the area in great shock.
