A man took to his heels after a fight over why the girlfriend has refused to get pregnant for him got out of hand leading to the woman's death.
Police are desperately looking for a man who brutally stabbed his girlfriend to death after a domestic squabble in a Nairobi slum.
According to News24, Police said the man identified as James Kariuki of Mukuru wa Njenga slums stabbed his girlfriend Charity to death in their shanty house in the wee hours of Thursday morning. The man took to his heels after killing his girlfriend. He is now at large.
"We are chasing a man who has stabbed his girlfriend to death in Mukuru Nairobi," Police boss Japheth Koome told News24.
The man, according to neighbours had become frustrated that the woman had refused to become pregnant despite their long-standing relationship. It is understood that the two have been arguing for a while before the brutal murder. The death of the woman has left the neigbours and community in great shock.
The body of the woman was taken to the Nairobi City Mortuary.
