The defendant’s lawyer said there is an exparte order restraining EFCC from arresting and prosecuting the former Governor, which EFCC appealed against at the Court of Appeal.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) failed to arraign Yahaya Bello, the immediate-past governor of Kogi State, in Court for alleged diversion of state funds.

The arraignment of the former Governor before a Federal High Court stalled due to his absence in court.

The defendant’s lawyer said there is an exparte order restraining EFCC from arresting and prosecuting the former Governor, which EFCC appealed against at the Court of Appeal.
